My version of Hippie is a little bit messy and a whole lot
of happy. I enjoy celebrating life, very occasionally with spirits (in older
days it was pot as well) and ALL the time with music. I have been blessed with
the responsibility of a forever child (he’ll be 37 this month). Through him I
have learned much about what is important on our journey on this planet and
believe I will be riding to Heaven on his coat tails!
The Hippie values are so beautifully aligned with Jesus.
There is no gender or race bias. Self enlightenment and mindfulness are a
byproduct of this lifestyle choice. Peace, love & music are acknowledged as
integral to having a happy and fulfilling life.
You are welcomed in our circle whether you are monetarily
poor or rich. Somewhere along the way “they” have suckered folks into equating
value & happiness with the accumulation of money and that is a major reason
why this world is full of so many unhappy and sometimes abjectly miserable
people. Hippie communes (yes, there are still a few of these around) resemble
and are probably modeled after the Acts Church Community.
I am a Pacifist with every fiber of my being. There is no
such thing as a justified killing. If there is anything that I am a FREAK about
it would be that. Another aspect of being a freak is being non-conformist. It is the
ability or attempt to live in a radical way within a societal structure. It is
being free from the inside out. Our freedom is an innate gift that we throw
away every day by giving that freedom up to outside forces or influences. The
process of reclaiming that freedom is self enlightenment. The end result is
Peace, which is my wish for humanity.
